Peter Park: California Bar Exam at Age 17

Peter Park became the youngest person in California history to pass the California Bar Exam at the time of his achievement. He is now a Deputy District Attorney with the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

A remarkable path

Peter began law school at age 13 while continuing his education. Public reporting describes how he used an accelerated educational path, including CLEP and the California High School Proficiency Exam, before completing law school and preparing for the Bar Exam.

He took the California Bar Exam in July 2023 and learned in November that he had passed. He was 17 when he passed and was sworn in as a practicing California attorney in December 2023. He began his prosecutorial career with the Tulare County District Attorney's Office and is now working as a Deputy District Attorney with the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.
